Music History Lesson
Let’s take it back…
Music has always been a passion of mine. When I was a kid I wanted to be a singer and a scientist. Not much has changed :P Music is a huge part of my life.
I started a 7 piece jazz band and decided that for my very first show, I would create a full 30 person production. I named the show DREAM and spent 6 challenging weeks preparing for every immersive aspect: coordinating/planning the story around the dancers, the magician, the harlequin bartenders, the mime, the dream guide, the live painter, the tickets, the wardrobe, the band, the songs, the lighting, the singers, the story, the furniture, the props, the lines! It was my most ambitious undertaking during that time period. It was the first time I took what was in my imagination and brought it to life. I had no idea if it would work. If people would get it. If I would make it through without losing my mind. But I did. And it was really successful! It taught me to trust my creative instincts.
SINGLE & UPCOMING MUSIC
out now and out next
My debut single, Suede & Velvet, co-wrote and produced by Chase Dillon is out on every major streaming platform. The song is a fusion of my jazz roots and modern electronic vibes.
My upcoming releases were written and recorded in São Paulo, Brazil with Brazilian producer/co-writer Pinotti. It will consist of 5 singles, released over the course of this year in tandem with music videos shot in Los Angeles and Brazil. The songs have an afro-pop soul & r&b influence, with a few songs in both Portuguese and English. The music was mostly inspired by my year living in Rio de Janeiro.
